Together with my beloved brother I decided to get on a horseback. Guided by a local we explored the beautyful forest in the Cocora Valley and crossed rustling riverbeds and climbed up to a great natural venue.
This location, called the “Colibri House” (spanish for Hummingbird) was an ideal save haven for stressed Hummingbird souls :). Flying and tweeting around the wodden house in the hills these cute little guys were attracted by water mixed with sugar that was distributed near the house. We loved how they move and we loved the sound they make when they flew around the bird houses.
It was then when we tried to capture them sitting on branches or on the feeding places. What we don’t know until yet is if feeding them with sugar water is actually the right thing to do. Don’t they get addicted?
As an alternative, sit quietly somewhere in the Valley near branches or low trees in a natural environment. You will see them feeding on their actual diet if you are lucky enough.
